Johnstown, PA – AmeriServ Financial Bank (NASDAQ: ASRV) announced today that it has made a five-year, $25,000 scholarship commitment that will enable low-to-moderate income students further their education at Hagerstown Community College. The donation was announced by Michael Baylor, AmeriServ executive vice president and chief commercial banking officer.

The AmeriServ Hagerstown Community College Scholarship will be awarded annually to the student(s) identified by the college as meeting all necessary requirements including being a Washington County resident, maintaining full-time college status and a 3.0 grade average, and a demonstrated need for tuition assistance.
